A new program at Seminole State College is helping students receive aid to pursue their career path goals.

Rapid Skills Program

As people look for ways to improve their skills or even change career paths, Seminole State is joining the Florida Department of Education’s workforce campaign for rapid credentialing by offering several certificates for students to earn college credentials and get on track for career success in 18 weeks or less. In high-demand areas such as project management, public safety, graphic design, information technology and business, students can build upon skills they already have to better prepare them for a new industry and career.

Eligibility

To participate in the Rapid Skills program, you must be:

  • Unemployed, furloughed or have reduced hours due to COVID-19
  • A new student or a current Seminole State student in an associate degree or certificate program

The cost of tuition, fees, books and industry certifications is covered for students who qualify to participate in the Rapid Skills program. * *subject to available funding
