Marlow’s Tavern has set Jan. 23 as the opening date for its 3,500-square-foot, 192-seat eatery in the Oviedo on the Park mixed-use development, next to popular eateries like Chipotle, Panera and the ever-popular Starbucks on Mitchell Hammock Road.
The new restaurant, which hired 65 new team members, will bring its American bar fare with a gourmet twist to the city’s town center area — a development co-owner Alan Palmieri called a “perfect fit” for the concept.
“Part of the appeal for us was being part of a neighborhood gathering place,” Palmieri told Orlando Business Journal. “We always pursue nice neighborhoods, and in this case, Oviedo has a good median household and it’s growing. The area really offers upscale living in terms of this development with the apartments and retail. It’s really a great fit for us in that oh-so-current environment.”
